OK. I’m editing this post now to let you know what I think of the test…
First of all, I guess I should say what it is that ScribeFire actually does! Well basically it allows you to post to a variety of different blogs from your FireFox browser, without having to go to your blogs’ admin section directly. Pretty neat concept, but how well does it work?
Here’s the original post:
So I’ve just installed this FireFox Add-On (ScribeFire) and I’m testing it out to see how well it posts to my EZ Expert Website Tools blog.
I guess if you’re reading this, then it worked just fine!

Technorati Tags: weblog client, firefox, wordpress
Powered by ScribeFire.
Notice the “Technorati Tags:” and “Powered by” lines? The first was added to the post itself by checking an option in the ScribeFire post-writing window. The second was appended to the post automatically by ScribeFire when I clicked the “Publish” button.
Unfortunately, there’s no integration of these tags with the native tagging feature of WordPress 2.3, so I had to edit the post after the fact and add the WordPress tags myself. Also, there’s no way to control what category it posts to – everything goes into the default category for your WordPress blog.
So overall, it’s a pretty useful little tool if you can do without the native WordPress tags and don’t need to post to different categories.
Let me know what you think of ScribeFire (add a comment below), especially if you’ve used it yourself in the past.
