Today, I just want to give you a quick update on some current giveaways. And I want to point out one in particular, because it’s being run a little bit differently than the standard giveaway event. That’s the Santa Sal giveaway, which is going to pay $1.00 for every person that you refer, and 50 cents for every person that they refer. So not only can you use this giveaway to build your list (if you have a gift to contribute), but you can make a little bit of quick cash in the process

If you’ve been around the internet marketing world for more than a year, then you’ve most likely been invited to join a ‘Giveaway’ of one kind or another – Easter, Summer, Thanksgiving, Someone’s Birthday. Sometimes it seems like there’s a new one every month, and naturally a whole slew of them at this time of the year.

So what should you do with these invitations? Accept Them! Every last one.

No kidding. You really can find some true gems through these giveaways, and if you sign up as a contributor, you can start building a mailing list of prospects for your online business.

So what’s the catch? Well, you usually (99% of the time) have to subscribe to someone’s mailing list, in order to get each gift. But then once you do, if the content of their newsletter is of no interest to you, you are always free to unsubscribe at any time.

Another (good) problem that you will very likely encounter with Giveaways is information overload! But have no fear. Their is a remedy for that ill. It’s called … organization.

Before you even begin to download any of your gifts, create some folders on your PC’s hard drive with topical names like Blogging, List Building, Software, Affiliate Marketing, etc. Then within each of these folders, create the following 5 folders: Personal Use, Giveaway Rights, Resell Rights, Master Resell Rights, Private Label Rights (i.e. to define what rights you have to a particular product).

So if I get an eBook written by John Doe called ‘The Mighty Blogger’ with Master Resale Rights, then I would download it to the following location …/Blogging/Master Resell Rights/JohnDoe_TheMightyBlogger.pdf (notice how I’ve included the Author’s name as a prefix to the filename to make it easier to search for products from a particular author later on).

And be sure to get a copy of your rights saved right alongside the actual product. The vast majority of product owners will provide you with a PDF or TXT file with your RIGHTS or LICENSE spelled out for you. However, on those rare occasions where this has not been provided, then copy any rights information displayed on the gift signup or download page into a TXT file and save it yourself.

This is very important to do since products with the same kind of rights (e.g. Master Resell Rights) can have a variety of specific limitations and restrictions on how you use those rights. So keep the information documented because if you violate the terms of your license, you could lose the rights to the product entirely.

OK. So now that’s out of the way, here’s a list of some Giveaway events that you can join as a member and/or contributor. I’ll try to keep this list updated as we go along.
